I made a 23 hour layover in Kuala Lumpur, and visited a gorgeous infinity pool since I did not have a chance to see the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool in Singapore. It was pouring when I got there, so I spent most of my time at the pool. I’ve visited Malaysia often when I lived in Singapore, so as short as my stop was this time around, I’ve compiled a few things to do in Malaysia.
Fun Fact: Petronas Twin Towers used to be the tallest skyscraper in the world.
When to go: November - February is dry on the western side. April - October is dry on the eastern side. The weather is hot and humid yearlong, with tropical rain showers.
Where to Stay:
Regalia Suites for the best infinity pool access on the low. It’s on AirBnb. Use this referral credit to get $40 off your booking.
Modes of Transportation:
Take the “KLIA ekspres” from the KL international airport to the main station, then take an Uber to Regalia Suites for a few dollars.
How Many Days to Spend: 1-2 days
What to Wear: Keep in mind that this country is extremely humid, and hot, so dress comfortable and accordingly. Since this is a Muslim country, you will find that women are more covered up, but tourists are not required to cover up.
